 Oscars Red Carpet was lit up by Missi Pyle (a co-star in the best picture nominee “The Artist”) wearing a stunning turquoise dress that could set a new eco-friendly trend. The gown is the winner of the third annual Red Carpet Green Dress design contest, a competition created by Suzy Amis Cameron (the wife of "Avatar" and "Titanic" director James Cameron), and an ardent environmentalist. Jeans get an eco-facelift! Facts: One pair of jeans requires almost 920 gallons of water, 400 mega joules of energy and expels 32 kilograms of carbon dioxide. This is equivalent to running a garden hose for 106 minutes, driving 78 miles and powering a computer for 556 hours. 450 million pairs of jeans are sold in USA alone each year.
